Sorìa Perricone is the fruit of Firriato's long work of experimentation and studies to recover a relic vine from the Sicilian winemaking tradition. The grapes that give life to this wine are a second clone of this variety, carefully selected by Firriato to experiment with all the possible expressions of this vine in different terroirs and microclimates. In fact, this vine has considerably different organoleptic characteristics from the one planted in Pianoro Cuddia from which Ribeca is made. Firriato decided to plant it in the lands of Baglio Sorìa, in the Trapani countryside. Here, too, we find ourselves in a hilly area not far from the Mediterranean coast, but it is the soils that make the difference, characterised by a high concentration of clays and red marls. We find ourselves in one of the most viticulturally suitable areas of Europe and the wines that come out of it have a decidedly special imprint, expressed in fresh, immediately pleasant scents.

Fresh and complex, with soft, velvety tannins, good structure and pleasant drinkability; silky, persistent finish.

Enveloping, whose dense and fine tannins make this wine an extreme expression of its terroir.

Wine with an intense ruby red colour

With this 100% Catarratto, which has been widely planted in Sicily since very ancient times, the Mazzei family continues its efforts to enhance Sicily's indigenous grape varieties. The pedoclimatic peculiarities of the Zisola estate, with its highly calcareous soil and proximity to the sea guaranteeing excellent ventilation, combined with the low-yield bush-training method of cultivation and the characteristic acidity of Catarratto, guarantee a fresh and long-lived wine.

Pinot Noir, a prized French variety, finds in the Olivola hills the environment best suited to its needs, to express itself proudly in all its elegance and complexity. Planted in the 'Funtanin' vineyard, named for the old fountain that stood on its summit, the variety rises in a Pinot Noir with ruby hues, refined in its still young notes of red fruits, blackberry and violet; elegant on the palate, but at the same time full-bodied and with great depth. Varietal nuances accentuated by a unique terroir: the Funtanin vineyard can be defined as the Pinot Noir cru among the hills of Monferrato.

Contesa dei Venti is a Nero d'Avola from Doc Vittoria; it is distinguished by floral scents and a fragrant bouquet of fruity, spicy and balsamic notes. Soft and persistent, it is an elegant wine with an enveloping personality.

Rosso di Marco is produced from grapes ‪Pignatello to 100%, also called ‪‎Perriconea traditional red grape variety of the ‪‎Sicily‬ western countries, which disappeared for many years, named after the so-called 'pignatiddare", the red lands of Trapaniso called because they are used in the production of cooking piñatas and are particularly suited to this variety.

Syrah, thanks to its highly rocky and calcareous soil and its typically dry climate, expresses its potential to the full in Sicily, and in particular in Zisola, where the entirely 'alberello' management allows the typical exuberance of the vine to be kept under control.

Zisola comes exclusively from vines cultivated in the 'alberello' style near Noto, in an area with a unique vocation. The proximity of the sea and the limestone structure of the soil best balance the natural exuberance of Nero d'Avola, with great freshness and elegance.

In the local dialect Burdisi/Burdese means Bordeaux and refers to the classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. It is a red wine of great density, structure and balance, produced in limited quantities from selected vineyards. Burdese is a wine for long ageing, offering an olfactory and gustatory complexity that has few counterparts in Sicily.

Syrah is a noble Mediterranean grape variety that gives its best in bright, dry locations like our Sicily. That is why we strongly believe in the future of this variety in our land. From an extraordinary vineyard - Maroccoli at about 400 m, in an unspoilt location - comes this interpretation of Syrah in a modern key that respects the characteristics of the vine. Imposing and impenetrable, it is a wine destined for long ageing.

Purple-red wine with ruby highlights, with a clear and consistent appearance.

Piromàfo is 100% Negroamaro. Produced only in the best years, harvested after over-ripening of the bunches on the vine. This procedure results in a wine with a better organoleptic expression of the vine's characteristics.
